As an inclusive, mainstream Prep School, CHP offers a variety of interventions to cater to the unique and diverse needs of our children. Supporting your child’s learning journey is the reason for ‘The Learning Centre’ at Carlswald House Prep – TLC @ CHP. Your child’s growth and development are at the heart of everything we do.

At CHP, depending on the age of the learners and their identified needs, children may receive one-on-one, small-group support, in-class support or a therapist may provide additional specialist guidance. This support may last for the duration of a skill or may continue throughout the year.

Remedial Support

Not all children develop at the same pace – none of us do!  We have dedicated remedial teachers who work directly with those children who require a little more time, input and attention. They work either with small pull-out groups or one-on-one as required.

OT, Speech, Therapists

To support challenges that some children experience we have in-house OT and Speech-and-Language therapists. We work closely with recommended educational psychologists to better diagnose challenges.

Academic Support

Sometimes all that is required is a ‘quick catch-up’ due to absence or maybe concepts that have not been fully grasped during lessons.  These support sessions are open to all – to ‘fill’ a gap or extend skills even further. Sometimes these classes are strongly recommended
