Welcome from the HOD

Tracy Sowerby At Carlswald House Preparatory Senior Prep, we prioritise the holistic development of each child. A child’s social, emotional, and intellectual development all play a crucial role in academic success. We take pleasure in fostering a friendly and encouraging environment, and getting to know each of our children well is our first focus.

We encourage the children to have a growth-mindset where achievements are celebrated and where mistakes are embraced and used as opportunities for further improvement.

You would notice the following in action if you happened to walk into one of our classrooms on any given day: children fully engaged in their learning, visible thinking demonstrated by various thinking strategies, integration of technology, creativity and problem-solving in all subjects.

Our expectation for our children is to ‘be the best you can be’ and by the end of Grade 7, and the Senior Prep, our children are confident and well prepared for their next chapter in their educational journey.
