Welcome from the Head of Department
Welcome to the Junior Preparatory, which consists of Grades R–3.
Junior Prep establishes the foundation and tone for your child’s future academic career so they can enjoy the beginning of an exciting engagement with education.
Children have the chance to develop not only intellectually but also socially, emotionally and holistically in our school’s supportive atmosphere. In order to deal with the ever-changing world around us, children are urged to develop 21st century skills rather than memorising knowledge.
We like to think of our school as a “home away from home” because of our caring, enthusiastic teachers and lovely grounds that resemble a park, yet we constantly strive for excellence in everything we do. Our Cambridge International Curriculum is well-known throughout the world, and the school day seamlessly incorporates cutting-edge technology.
Each child is seen as an individual and their unique requirements are met by employing a variety of teaching methods as well as rotational activities that are differentiated to each child’s ability. Valuable one to one time is also enjoyed with their teacher.
Children are regularly exposed to a variety of learning contexts and activities in order to ensure that they are well-rounded, lifelong learners. They might spend their day moving between the STEAM block and the sports field, or from the music centre to our cutting-edge IT lab.
We employ a variety of specialist teachers who are crucial to our comprehensive programme of intellectual, extracurricular and cultural education.
We welcome you to the Carlswald House Junior Preparatory.
