The Grade 6’s visited Camp Konka in Rustenburg for 4 days and 3 nights. The bus trip there was abuzz with non-stop chatter and singing, which broke into elated cheers on arrival. It was an amazing experience where the Grade 6’s developed their own skills, faced their fears and bonded as a group. The children were kept busy from morning till night with a wide range of activities and games, from ziplining over a lake to group-orientated problem solving. When they were not partaking in structured activities they swam, played soccer and spent time socialising.

Camp food was a real hit, with all diets accounted for. However, the most exciting treat was the fire-roasted marshmallows which were thoroughly enjoyed by all.
